EULOGY
Boo Boo was a chubbly Siamese Rex Dumbo born January 6, 2003 to
EIR Issac and RRLM Wendy.
Boo was gentle and loving towards the other rats in the play pool even though he was the alpha rat of the group. On very few occasions did he need to step up and lay the smack down on some unruly rat in his group. All of Boo Boo's homies loved him and liked to snuggle close to him. They would rest their heads on his big squishy body and fall asleep. You see he was a rather large rat weighing over two pounds.
Boo wasn't a velcro rat. When I picked him up I had to hold on to him or he would slide off. He didn't hang on with his nails. He trusted me to hold and craddle him without letting him fall.
Boobs was as the kissiest rat I ever belonged to. I would pick him up and lay him in my arms like a baby and scratch his tummy. To show his appreciation he would turn his head and lick my hand like crazy. Anyone could hold Boo Boo the same way and he would lick them too. He was the cuddliest rat EVER!
Boo Boo passed away around 7 am April 16, 2005. He had a stroke and I knew it wouldn't be long. I took him to bed with me, wrapped him in a towel and laid him on my chest and put the covers over us. Through the night I would wake up and offer him water and check to see if he was still alive. I'd ask him "are you still there?" and Boo Boo would respond by licking my fingers. I'm so glad he could pass over warm and peacefully.
He was the best rat I've ever known and as a breeder I have known hundreds of rats. My son and I will never forget Boo Boo. I think about him every day.
